MARCH FORTH! BLOCK PARTY + FUNDRAISER
February 02, 2018
Every year, you – LA Walks supporters – join us for March Forth!, where we celebrate walking and recommit to advocate for safe, accessible, fun, and equitable walking for all in Los Angeles.
To mark March Forth! this year, we’re hosting a FREE block party and a nearby fundraiser party in Historic Filipinotown. Two events. One day. TONS OF FUN. It’s going to be blast!
Join us at the block party from 12pm-3pm and at the fundraiser party from 2pm-5pm. Go to one, go to the other, or go to both!
From 12pm-3pm, the free block party will be held on Vendome St. between Council St. and Beverly Blvd. The block party will include big old-school games, skateboarding lessons, bike lessons, Jeepney tours, a bouncy house, and lots more. Free valet bike parking will be provided by the Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition.
Local Hi Fi organizations will highlight their programs and specialties, including Asian Pacific Islander Forward Movement, Pilipino Workers Center of Southern California, Public Matters, Filipino American Service Group, Inc. (FASGI), and Sunday Jump. There will be a kid band, a healthy food cooking demo, neighbor interviews, photo ops, and more.
Peddler’s Creamery will offer FREE ice cream from 12:30pm-1:30pm. You don’t want to miss it!
From 2pm-5pm, our fundraiser will be held across Beverly Blvd. at Gabba Gallery, named LA’s best art gallery in 2017 by LA Weekly. A $30 ticket to our annual fundraiser will get you food from Benaddictz, Fort Point Beer Co. beers, Sweetzer Cellars wine, music, art, and fun.
The entry fee includes a guided tour of the Hi Fi Mural Art Alleys from Cartwheel Art too!
Ticket sales are now open!
See below; please select either the $30 standard entry fee or the $50 ticket, which includes an optional extra donation. Thank you!
